Salt Spring Island Saturday Market

The famous Salt Spring Island Saturday Market (April to October) is not to be missed.  Local artisans such as Saltspring Soapworks, Kama Natural Soap, and Saltspring Kitchen Co., as well as farmers from all over the island, gather every Saturday in Centennial Park to sell their beautifully handmade or locally grown goods. 

Salt Spring Island Farms, Wineries, Cidery, Distillery and Artisan Shops

From lavender farms to wine tasting and everything in between, there are plenty of places to visit.  Highlights include:

  • Salt Spring Island Cheese – Home to some of the finest cheeses on the west coast, tastings are available before purchase. A small café also serves delicious pizza and salads during the summer months. 
  • Salt Spring Wild Cider – A selection of tasting flights are available and a great way to quench your thirst on a warm summer day. The creative menu and large outdoor dining space makes for a wonderful alfresco dining experience. 
  • Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm or Lavender and Black – Wander through lavender fields and perhaps take home some specialty goods like lavender essential oils, relaxing mists, or honey!
Salt Spring Island Walks & Hikes

Scenic coastal walks can be found in Ruckle Provincial Park.  For more challenging hikes with stunning panoramic views, explore the many trails located in Mount Erskine Provincial Park and Mount Maxwell Provincial Park.
